News feed

Keep users of your website updated with the latest information about your association by uploading regular news items.

Create a page for the news feed

The first thing you need to do is create a page to host your news feed and add the News module. See the inner pages section for instructions on how to do this.

Create news items

From the menu on the left, select News Feed.

To create a new item, click the Add News Item button on the right hand side.

There are two different display options when creating a News item. If you only have a small amount of information you can display the introduction text in the teaser with a 'More' button that expands the teaser to display the rest of the News item.

Alternatively, you can create a News item that opens into its own page. To do this, add the News title and introductory text as above. Then add your news content into the Page content box.


Below, the News item appears with link to its own page.


Add the Publish and Expiry Dates for when you would like the item to appear on your site.

You can upload a thumbnail image to be displayed alongside the News teaser.

If your News item is set to open in a separate page, you can also upload a page banner.

You also have the option to include a website link or attachment.

Once you've added all the details click the Save News button.

Your list of News items can be viewed on the News Module page you set up earlier.

Edit or delete news items

If you need to edit or delete your News items at any point you can do this by viewing the list of News items in the CMS.

Locate the specific News item you wish to edit and click the Actions button on the right hand side.

Select the relevant action from the dropdown.
