DNS Settings

DNS Settings

On this page you can view the relevant DNS settings for your website and verifying your domain to maximise email deliverability.

As DNS is a critical part of your technical infrastructure, it’s important that only authorised people should be able to access it.

Some organisations may have IT support who manage their DNS on their behalf. Other organisations will manage their own DNS internally via a domain registrar service like GoDaddy or NetRegistry.

If you're unsure about managing your DNS records contact your domain registrar's support, each registrar manages DNS settings slightly differently, so they will be able to give specific advice about what you need to do.

IMPORTANT: The Membes team cannot provide assistance with configuring your DNS. If you need assistance to access and update your DNS, it is recommended you contact the team at CompleteIS.

Website domain configuration

Your domain

This field shows the domain currently being used to access your Membes AMS instance. Initially, this will show your setup subdomain and will be updated with your preferred domain once your Membes AMS is live.

Verified domain

Depending on whether or not you have enabled the Verified domain module, you will see a link to enable the module or an alert to confirm your domain has been verified.

CNAME mapping

Membes uses CNAME mapping to point your domain to your Membes instance. A CNAME record needs to be added to your DNS that points to this address.

Verifying your domain

Verified Domains allow your organisation to send email communications using your own domain. This helps establish your association as a trusted sender and reduces the chance of your messages being flagged as spam or junk by your recipients’ email providers.

Activating a Verified Domain is optional, but its highly recommended to help maximise email deliverability.

  1. To enable the module, click on the user icon in the top right to display the Account menu and select Licence.
